Oil Nut BayJohnson Reaches Out To Virgin Gorda Contractors

In a show of commitment to local contractors and more specifically to Virgin Gorda contractors, David V. Johnson, chairman of Victor International and creator of Oil Nut Bay (ONB), personally conducted a presentation to over 36 representatives of Virgin Gorda contracting companies on Saturday, May 9, 2009. Mr. Johnsoncomprehensive report sought to assure the industry participants that:

Victor International maintains full confidence in their decision to invest in the British Virgin Islands and specifically in the ONB project.

Victor International is debt-free and is able to commence and complete the ONB project with the support of all.

The ONB development is committed to and will spare no resources to ensure that the pristine environment both on land and in the water is protected, preserved, and enhanced for future generations to enjoy the natural beauty of Oil Nut Bay.

Pending and contingent on governmental approvals the ONB project has allocated funding and is ready to proceed on the following works :

Beach Club construction
Miles of road pavement
Installation of underground power lines
Completion of the Arrival Dock
Completion of the first villa which is underway with Trevor Bishop
Extension of the existing Deep Bay Barge ramp
Procurement and installation of water and wastewater treatment facilities.

ONB is committed to providing first opportunities to BVI Islanders and Belongers on the basis of $BEG(Bair and equitable pricing and the ability to perform ONB has not, and is not seeking to house migrant laborers.

During construction, Victor International estimates that the project will employ hundreds of workers and once completed will have the potential to create over 200 on going jobs. The vast majority of the new jobs are expected to be held by residents of Virgin Gorda.
